Is Apostolic Devotions free?
Yes. The app is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases.
Do I need an account?
No. Every devotion, the Bible, plans, scripture memory, your journal and your prayer list work without an account, and everything stays on your phone. Sign in only if you want to sync between devices or join the prayer wall.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Devotions and the whole Bible are built into the app, so they work on a plane or with no signal. Syncing and the prayer wall need a connection.
How do I set a daily reminder?
Open Me → Settings, turn on Remind me each day and choose a time. If reminders don't arrive, check that notifications for Apostolic Devotions are allowed in your phone's settings.
Reading and listening
How do I change the theme, font or text size?
Tap Aa while reading, or open Me → Settings. Choose from six themes and four reading fonts. In the Bible you can also pinch to change the text size.
Can the devotion be read aloud?
Yes. Tap the play button at the top of a devotion. The app uses your phone's built-in voice; you can change its speed in Settings.
Which Bible translations are included?
The King James Version, with the Berean Standard Bible and the American Standard Version alongside. Turn on word study to tap a word and see the Hebrew or Greek behind it, with Strong's definitions.
I missed a day. Did I lose my streak?
A missed day simply waits for you. Grace days cover the occasional miss, and you can always pick up where you left off.
Account and sync
How do I sign in?
Open Me and choose Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. Your name is filled in from your account, and you can change your display name at any time.
How do I move to a new phone?
Sign in on your old phone first so everything is backed up, then install the app on the new phone and sign in with the same Apple or Google account. Your journal, prayers, highlights and progress will come across.
How do I download a copy of my data?
Open Me → Settings → Account → Export my data.
How do I delete my account?
Open Me → Settings → Account → Delete account. See what deletion removes, or email us if you no longer have the app.
Prayer wall
Who can see my prayer request?
Other signed-in users of the app. You can post under your display name or anonymously, and delete your request at any time.
How do I report a post?
Tap the ⋯ on the post and choose Report. Posts with several reports, or any report of self-harm, are hidden right away until we review them. See the community rules.
Someone's post worries me. What should I do?
Report it and choose Someone may be in danger. The post is hidden right away and reaches us first. If someone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number. In the United States you can call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
