About Apostolic Devotions

A quiet place to meet with God.

Built for Apostolic believers who want to begin each day in the Word, with nothing to distract and nothing to sell.

Why we made it

Beautiful, quiet and trustworthy.

A devotional you can recommend to your whole church without a second thought.

Every devotion is short, rooted in one passage of the King James Bible, and points to Jesus. Each is reviewed for faithfulness to scripture and for a warm, pastoral tone. We teach what we believe positively from the Word, and never by attacking others.

We will never use guilt to keep you reading. Streaks and reminders are there to serve your own desire to meet with God, and a missed day simply waits for you.

Statement of faith

  1. The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the final authority for faith and conduct. 2 Timothy 3:16

  2. One God. There is one God, who has revealed Himself as Father in creation, as Son in redemption, and as the Holy Ghost in regeneration. Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh, the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1, 14; Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16

  3. The name of Jesus is the name by which we must be saved and the name in which all is to be done. Acts 4:12; Colossians 3:17; Matthew 28:19 fulfilled in Acts 2:38

  4. The new birth follows the pattern of Acts 2:38: repentance, water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. John 3:5; Acts 2:1–4, 38; Acts 10:44–48; Acts 19:1–6

  5. Holiness. Believers are called to a holy life, inwardly and outwardly, empowered by the Spirit, as a joyful response to grace. Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15–16; Titus 2:11–12; Romans 12:1–2

  6. Prayer, fasting and worship are vital disciplines of the Christian life.

  7. Divine healing is provided in the atonement. Isaiah 53:5; James 5:14–15

  8. The Church is the body of Christ, with God-given ministry. Ephesians 4:11–13

  9. The blessed hope. Jesus Christ is coming again; there will be a resurrection and judgment, eternal life for the righteous and eternal separation for the lost. Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 20

And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Acts 2:42
